I created this tone using a 50's reissue Strat loaded with Dimarzio Area 58, 67, and 62 pups (in order from neck to bridge). The pitch whammy allows for a 1/2 step detune (does not track well...). FS3 increases the gain on both the Marshall and Fender amps. There are several other effects that I use just for fun, so keep in mind that those have nothing to do with SRV type tones. So far, this is my best attempt at getting a decent tone for Pride and Joy. Enjoy! EDIT: Can't believe I forgot this, but I'm using IR's. I have a couple Marshall Cab IR's. To my knowledge, I can't share them through CustomTone.

As close to SRV as I can get. Use the neck pickup on the strat and roll back the volumeknob to less than half volume (Yes... that low), and let the Germanium Fuzz do it's magic. The variax model of a strat doesn't work. It has to be a magnetic pickup. I use Celestion IR A-Type 1x12 Open Back "A-Type 112 O Lo-Gn 121+57". It gives the clairity I was looking for. If you don't have it, feel free to experiment with other IRs or standard cabs. I recommend Low Cut around 40Hz and High Cut around 13kHz. I built this patch after looking at Pete Thorn's video "THE SECRET to INCREDIBLE STRAT CLEAN TONES! Tone Secrets #9", where he demonstrates the use of a germanium fuzz and a strat with the volume rolled back.

No need for IR ! Here is TS@Germanium2 (read the description for that tone) but with a standard cab and the IR turned off. So that anybody can try it out. (Even if it sounds a bit better with the IR i used). Just remember: Strat, neck pickup, roll back volume and hit it.
