Snapshot 1 = Main clean sound Snapshot 2 = Lots of reverb for second intro part Snapshot 3 = Solo. I designed this patch to be used with the FX return of your amp hence why the cab block is switched off, however you could turn it on again if you liked. As James uses it a lot, I’ve picked the Roland Jazz Chorus amp (which is weird for me as I own a Jazz Chorus and designed this patch through its FX loop!). I’ve used reverb, delay, a compressor and later a ‘Rat’ pedal for the solo. I did want to use a harmoniser for one of the patches to replicate the bridge sound, but not all the notes are ‘3rds’ some of them are ‘4ths’ – never mind. Snapshot 2 is aimed to be used part way through the intro (37 seconds into the song if you listen to it) to replicate that bigger sound when the violins come in. What a great song!

Boss CE1 Chorus. Darker guitars may need extra treble, enable the EQ block. Metallica guitar uses active pickups, which have more treble than passive pickups. If you use wireless for your guitar audio (or a buffer at the guitar) it will approximate the tone of active pickups.

For the lead clean part, NOT for the solo or other high distortion parts. I use HSH Guitar with Dimarzio Rainmaker and Dimarzio Chopper for my neck and bridge respectively. I play it on Middle/Neck position, but it was originally played on neck.
