Snapshot 1 = Intro + main distorted sound (use the neck pickup) Snapshot 2 = Verse cleaner tone Snapshot 3 = Solo Snapshot 4 = Wah Solo. I designed this patch to be used with the FX return of your amp, hence why the cab block is switched off, however you could turn it on again if you liked. For this patch I used the Marshall Super Lead 100 Jumped, which G’n’Rs hired for the recording. Their amp was apparently heavily modded, so I used a Tube Screamer to boost it a bit. I’ve used reverb, EQ, delay and chorus pedals for different parts. Remember to tune to Eb if you want it to sound just right. What a song! I think the opening riff was voted the best guitar riff ever a while back! (and Slash apparently hates it!)
