Snapshot 1 = Main distorted sound Snapshot 1 = Solo. I designed this patch to be used with the FX return of your amp hence why the cab block is switched off, however you could turn it on again if you liked. I’ve used the same pedal that Tony did – the Dallas Rangemaster Treble Booster, into the Hiwatt amp (the POD doesn’t have Tony’s Laney 100 unfortunately but the Hiwatt does a great job). For the solo I’ve added an Arbiter Fuzz Face pedal and a ring modulator that you can hear on the recording. If the POD had more pedal-banks I would have used a low mix of an sub-octave pedal (which apparently was used for the solo), but never mind. This is my favourite Black Sabbath song, it’s glorious!
