Like A Stone preset with snapshots for verse, chorus, and solo. Bridge snapshot is sans effects for a clean tone (since bridge was done on acoustic and this was created prior to the release of the Acoustic Sim in 3.0). Preset created using a Fender Stratocaster with a Seymour Duncan Hot Rail in the bridge position and through a slightly cranked Marshall half stack. Adjust settings depending on guitar and amp.

JCM800 with all the effects afterwards. Tremolo on that switches to boost and delay on footswitch 5. Whammy set 2 octaves up as Tom plays the solo on the A and D Strings. Footswitch 4 is momentary for the Whammy which you can change to an Expression.

Snapshot 1 = Verse Snapshot 2 = Chorus Snapshot 3 = Whammy Solo Snapshot 4 = Clean Bridge. Play the whole song with the neck pickup. I designed this patch to be used with the FX return of your amp hence why the cab block is switched off, however you could turn it on again if you liked. For the main sound I’ve used a tremolo pedal and delay. The chorus and solo sounds are boosted with the Prince of Tone pedal. Alas, the POD hasn’t got an acoustic sim (yet) – so the bridge patch is just a clean sound with the delay on. Even though the solo is simple it has to be my favourite of Tom Morello’s – very fun to play!

This based off the 2 amp template. Amp one is clean with tremolo and amp two is dirty with a switchable bottom boost. Amp two includes a pitch wham set for two octaves for the solo. The pitch wham position is set for expression pedal 3, reassign if needed to pedal 1 or pedal 2. I created this through a power cab in FRFR , flat, at low volumes. You might have to volume balance between both channels. Play with the tremolo or switch to what ever suites you best. An LA Studio comp at the end for balancing.
