HX Stomp XL
I love Angus Youngs sound and it is well known that besides humbucking pickups and Marshall distortion, the Schaffer–Vega diversity system contributed a lot. I describe it as a nice compression and harmonic smear on top of the tone. This tone was made with a Les Paul type guitar on bridge pickup with my Marshall DSL40CR on treble 9 o'clock, mids 11, bass 4, prescence 9, resonance 3 o'clock with channel 2, OD1, Gain 10 o'clock, volume full and master 1 at 10 o'clock. Actual Storm pedal settings: Power 10 o'clock, storm 10 and snap 9 o'clock. I got the tone within 2% of the actual pedal to my old ears so I'm thrilled. That was the only pedal that was a MUST HAVE for the Stomp XL and now I"m down to just a volume pedal. I hope others can get some rocking tones from this patch. It was tested cranked up playing old and new AC/DC catalog. Make sure to enable all blocks of the preset. This uses 4CM to a real Marshall amp so adjust to your needs if you need to remove the FX loop and add an amp / cab. This plexi vintage is great https://line6.com/customtone/tone/5551119/ Rock on !!!
