An original sound
I'm a huge fan of 50's and 60's blues - yet I usually play worship music that requires a little cleaner tone. Using the Silvertone 1484 with parallel cabs. Using U87 condenser mic with WhoWhatt cab (adds some nice clarity) and M160 ribbon mic with the 2x12 Blue Bell cab. Both mics are at 1". Both cabs are at 30% early reflections and I added just a touch of '63 Spring reverb. This patch is a tad bit on the dirty side, but I love that 1484 mojo and tone. There's a Kinky Boost for stage 1 to slam the 1484 a little harder - and also an OCD (Compulsive) in stage 2 to get a little nastier. Compressors are both setup using Sadites base settings tweaked to my ears' liking.
