Happy Pandemic everyone! It’s your favorite malcontent bringing you something I’m not, pure and clean. I thought with all the craziness I’d give you something easy to wrap your mind around for my inaugural Pod Go free tone. We named this after my lack of follicles. Welcome to Mr. Clean! For this one I partnered up with a cute girl. Jenavive is loving the Pod Go! We decided not to do snapshots to keep it simple stupid K.I.S.S. We chose one of the gold standard amps to mess with the Tweed Blues Bright. It was tempting to leave it at stock settings but what’s the fun in that? For your listening pleasure we upped the bass on the amp slightly and dropped the gain. Of course that meant the Channel Volume had to come up. And futzing with the Bias is always fun! It paired well with the Matchless 2x12 G25 and we changed the mic to the venerable 4038 ribbon. Effects we kept simple. Just Compressor and Reverb. The Rochester Compressor caught our ear but added a bit too much volume so we dropped the gain and called it good. The legacy Spring reverb with just a bit less decay rounded out the tone. Mr. Clean has been tested on my Squire Stratocaster "E" Series with single coils, my Squier Telecaster “Paisleycaster” with stock pickups, the Ibanez Jem Jr with Dark Matter II Humbuckers and a single coil and finally Jen’s Ibanez JS100 with humbuckers. It’s ready to charm the pants off your significant other or get you fully in a blues jam. This patch is also designed to be played through Full Range Flat Response speakers.
