JCM 800
An original sound
This is my JCM 800 patch I've been using for basic rock. I use it straight to PA so if you want to go into an amp's effect return turn the cab sim off. I use this with a strat right now... probably need to tweak a bit for humbuckers. Uses stock Britt 2204 and Blackbacks. Has a spring reverb and a basic delay. I intend to use the external foot switch to allow choice of slapback versus longer delays. Butright now I wanted all effects just on/off on the unit. I use a Timmy and TS to give a few flavors or boost... they stack for a pretty extereme rock lead. I use an EQ between the amp and cab to give a bit of a character change to the amp. It emphasizes the mids. I tend to run this with my guitar around 6-7 on volume. It responds well to volume changes on the guitar.
