'52 - Silvertone

An original sound

I'm a huge fan of 50's and 60's blues - yet I usually play worship music that requires a little cleaner tone. This one however... I wouldn't consider "cleaner"... but it's just about right. There's not much more mojo you can have than using a 50s Telecaster and a Silvertone amp. I love this rig! Using 121 ribbon mic with 2x12 Mail (2.5") and 4038 ribbon mic with the 4x12 WhoWatt cab (5"). Great lead tone or adding rhythm fills and textures. There is some '63 Spring reverb added for flavor. I sometimes swamp it with a couple different reverbs to create amazing swells or an ambient layer under another lead guitarist. The breakup of the 1484 is already special by itself so I simply put a Kinky Boost in there to give it a little more of it's own medicine. Compressors are both setup using Sadites base settings tweaked to my ears' liking. All you have to do is add your delay(s) and dial them up to tempo. One of my favorite rigs.
