'52 - Bassman

An original sound

I'm a huge fan of 50's and 60's blues - yet I usually play worship music that requires a little cleaner tone. "Classic" would be an understatement for this patch. Tele and a Bassman... what more do you need. Using 121 ribbon mic with 2x12 Mail C12Q (2.5") and 160 ribbon mic with the 4x10 Tweed P10R cab (4"). You can adjust the mic distance to tinker with bass response - although be careful... the Bassman cab adds some serious meat if you stay lower on the neck. There is some '63 Spring reverb added for flavor - and you can adjust that as well as cab reflections to your liking. In my opinion, the KOT (Tone Sovereign) sounds amazing with a Telecaster, so that's what I went with for a drive. "Transparent" seem to be a buzz word in today's worship circles, so I didn't try and mask the Bassman's circuit - just shaped it and boosted it a tad with the KOT. Compressors are both setup using Sadites base settings tweaked to my ears' liking. All you have to do is add your delay(s) and dial them up to tempo. Sometimes a Tele and a Bassman will cure all that ails you.
