Did some research on what gear was used on the blue album. It's a Mesa Mark I with a rare vintage Marshall cab probably containing a variety of speakers. It is not known to the web exactly what speakers but there are some reports that it had vintage greenback and blueback. I played around and feel like this tone is not spot on but close enough to enjoy. I Included a tube compressor to be punched in for the lead section. This preset is high gain setting only with no cleans. The cleans on the recording are acoustic guitars. The EQ is set up for my use of a bridge hot rail in a squire strat relative to playing along with the studio mixed version of the song with my guitar hard panned to one side.
