I hope I nailed this tone. I have blended the Marshall Plexi into Celestion Greenbacks with the Line 6 Panama model into a second 4x12 model. The noise gate comes first, followed by the MXR Flanger and MXR Phase 90 models. The Line 6 Drive is installed as a boost. I have installed 2 Maestro Echoplex models in the path followed by a Legacy plate reverb set at a 5.5 decay with a 29% mix. I developed this preset by playing in stereo, very LOUDLY through my AC30 and Bassbreaker, 2-tube amps. I used my Charvel San Dimas with a very "hot" humbucker bridge pickup. Eddie's early tone relied heavily on the L/R stereo hard-pan of his guitar tone and its reverb. I really wanted to get this tone right. There are 8 Snapshots of 5 early Van Halen sounds/songs. Make all the adjustments that you need and enjoy this preset.
