Tried to rebuild Bob’s signature tone like described on guitargeek.com/bob-mould-sugar-guitar-rig-and-gear-setup-1993/ I used both signal paths with nearly identical setting – only in Path 2 we have a short 15 ms delay which makes the stereo sound. In both paths we have a JC120 with 4x12 speakers and a Champ with one 12". Since there’s no MXR in the Helix (please ...) I used the RAT as distortion (both distortions can be bypassed with the »Double Distort« Footswitch. For a slight approach to Bob’s harmonized sound press the »Double Fifths« Footswitch and play your powerchords. Of course a strat with lace sensors is recommended, I have one with a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails at bridge position which sounds very good as well.
