I've been trying to get this for years, and I think I'm almost there. My mistake? Using EQs to get Josh's heavy mids. It's a Q filter set to hump the mids and boost. A lot. This is meat and potatoes Josh - I haven't gone for the oddball stuff yet. The 'PDF Q-mids' should be always on. The octave gets a lot of the extra stuff in his tone - if you can find the instrumental version of Songs For The Deaf online, you'll hear it's the secret sauce for No One Knows. It's also the key to Turnin' On The Screw. The base amp (Park) gets pushed a lot just with the mid-boost. The Timmy is a flat bit of OD color. The two main distortions are the Boss SD-1 and the Maestro Fuzz. They're both similar, but the SD-1 has a little more mid-hump, the Maestro is clearer and fizzier. The Tremolo and UniVibe are both fast, you might get Chemistry out of it, but I didn't head into weird territory yet. ---10-stomp
