A little experiment I tried. 4 snapshots. 1 is a bassman, clean. 2 switches to a HiWatt with some grit. 3 is a JCM, mid-gain, and 4 throws a wound up Tube Screamer in front of the JCM. All three run through the same two cabs. I just discovered that adding the tube screamer to the Bassman is a thing of beauty. Probably not perfect, but an interesting place to start.
