For I Don't Know Anything, Lifeless Dead, X-Ray Mind by Mad Season

For anyone familiar with the side project from the early 2000's project between Pearl Jam's Mike McCready, Alice In Chains' Layne Staley and Screaming Trees' Barrett Martin, McCready gets a decidedly non-PJ sound. Playing a vintage SG and a 59 Strat through Marshalls, he's got a great 70's rock tone going with some great ambient sounds. Crisp, clear and punchy. I used a Plexi with Green and Blackbacks, the LA2A after the cabs, a solo boost and a bunch of effects. Of note is the FS that lets you go from a fairly moderate reverb to a wet one, and I took my Rotosphere package (from the Dr. Z Gossard, also on CustomTone) and added some UniVibe in, more closely mimicing the Dunlop Rotovibe pedal. NOTE: as you pull the EXP pedal back, the effect increases. Somewhat counter-intuitive, but since most of us keep the EXP in toe-down, I thought it made sense to have that be the more minimum setting. that's not hard to change if you wish, but you'll have to go through all 3 effects and reverse Min and Max. Try it -hope you find it useful.
