Iron Maiden Bass preset. I play in an Iron Maiden tribute band called Up The Irons based in San Diego, CA. This is the preset that I use. I use a Steve Harris signature Fender P-bass. It's one of the newer signature basses in white like the one in the following link: http://shop.fender.com/en-US/electric-basses/precision-bass/steve-harris-precision-bass/0141032305.html . I use the Rotosound Steve Harris signature string set (flatwound) like those in the following link: http://www.rotosound.com/steve-harris-signature-set/ . My signal chain is as follows: Bass->Line 6 Wireless transmitter (TBP12)->Line 6 Relay G90 Receiver->Line 6 Helix Rack->Carvin DCM3000L Power Amp->Ampeg SVT-810e Speaker Cabinet . The preset uses a free Impulse Response that I downloaded from the web site "Studio Nord Bremen" called "Ampeg V4-B_TE_sm7.wav". You can download it from this website: http://www.grgr.de/IR/ . Scroll down until you see "Ampeg V4B Bass Amp" and download the "small Trace Elliot cabinet (3 files)" zip file. Extract the "Ampeg V4-B_TE_sm7.wav" IR from that file and us it. You may have to update the preset to point it to the location where you loaded the IR in your Helix. I think I used slot 22. Use whatever slot you want, but update the preset to point to that slot. . This preset produces a very clanky tone very similar to Steve Harris' tone. I play with a heavy right hand which helps reproduce the clank that Steve gets. . UP THE IRONS!
