This is the tone for Santana / Rob Thomas song "Smooth". The Santana guitar sound is a vocal style lead with lots of sustain & harmonics. I have Used the Cali IV for this tone with some adjustments to the Cali EQ. I have changed the cabinet to 4x12 greenback which seems to suit the sound well. Not a great deal of effects on this tone. Compression, Delay & Reverb seem to do the job. I found a Humbucker style guitar suits this tone well. I woulds suggest the trying the neck pickup, or the middle position using both hum buckers. I used the middle pickup for this tone - Guitar used - PRS Santana 2
